RottenApricot

RottenApricot is a service to identify apricots and categorize them in “good” apricots, that can be sold to the customer, and “bad” apricots, that are damaged, rotten or overripe. The project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of computer vision in the environment of automated warehouses for online grocery shopping. Our project demonstrates the detection of good quality produce from bad quality produce with sufficiently high detection rates and near to real-time detection under the consideration of hardware constraints with the example of apricots. Our project is also extended by a dashboard that allows to monitor the frames-per-second and GPU temperature as well as provides the functionality of relabeling detected apricots.
